Geography
Course summary
Geography is a highly valued subject at university and beyond making it the ‘must-have A level’ according to the Guardian. Geography allows you to understand the world around you and the interaction between the human and natural world. As a result it is unique in allowing a study of how we interact with our environment and how we can face the challenges of today and the future, such as climate change and economic development. Geography is multi-disciplinary, which means that it fits well with most other subjects and offers a large range of skills, from enquiry and discussion through to GIS and remote sensing. From this year, we are following a new specification from previous years which offers a range of subject areas. Major threads such as climate change and inequalities occur throughout these topics.
