Philosophy of Religion, Religious Ethics and Developments in Christian Thought. Religious studies is a course which is challenging, open-ended and discursive. It is for pupils who value the opportunity to explore in some depth real issues concerning human life and existence and it is not reliant upon any specific faith or belief system.
We recommend that before embarking on Key Stage 5, pupils should have achieved at least five GCSEs at grade 4 or above with a minimum of a grade 6 in the subjects they wish to study.
These units are assessed through essay-style questions in the examinations and each paper is 2 hours long.
