Economics
Course summary
Lessons will be theory based using a combination of presentations, videos and the course textbook. Case studies involving real economic situations provide students with an insight into, and experience of how households, firms and the government make economic decisions. Students are encouraged to take an interest in current affairs and think critically about contemporary economic issues. A good knowledge of GCSE Mathematics will assist students with the quantitative aspects of the course. Essay writing skills will be developed during the two years and will be essential to ensure success in this course.
