To understand this paper, we’ll draw on the work of historians, artists, and playwrights. 2N Revolution and dictatorship: Russia, 1917-1953 A depth study of the coming and practice of communism in Russia. The paper explores concepts such as Marxism, communism, Leninism, and Stalinism, ideological control and dictatorship. It also enables you to consider issues of political authority, the power of individuals and the interrelationship of governmental and economic and social change. To understand this paper, we’ll pay particular attention to primary sources, ranging from propaganda to ration cards.
We recommend that before embarking on Key Stage 5, pupils should have achieved at least five GCSEs at grade 4 or above with a minimum of a grade 6 in the subjects they wish to study.
