The A Level Physics course enables students to build on their knowledge of the laws of physics, applying their understanding to solve problems on topics ranging from subatomic particles to the evolution of the universe. Students are given the opportunity to develop all the relevant practical research and communication skills throughout the course.
Assessment in Year 13 is by three written papers. Practical skills are assessed in the written papers and there is also a practical endorsement (pass/fail) which is reported separately. 1. Modelling Physics (100 marks) - 2 hour 15 minutes 2. Exploring Physics (100 marks) 2 hour 15 minutes 3. Unifying Physics (70 marks) - 1 hour 30 minutes
