Mathematics is a highly respected A-Level and supports progression to a wide range of degree courses and careers. All science-based degrees require good mathematics skills, and so too do engineering and many computing and economics-based degrees. Students will learn how to analyze patterns and structures, and to then solve problems; their logical abilities will be developed so that they will have the tools needed to tackle several diverse areas, from managing finances to planning projects.
Sixth form applicants need at least five grade 5s at GCSE but some A-level subjects need a higher grade. Assessment tests for those not taking recognised exams. Grade 8 in GCSE Mathematics (or equivalent)
