Model United Nations enrichment is an exciting opportunity to engage in a structured, academic debate with other institutions. It is open to any students who are interested in global issues. The first term consists of students preparing and attending the Model United Nations COP29 Conference. Students take on the role of countries represented in the General Assembly and will present dynamic arguments. They must represent each country’s attitudes, interests and alliances as accurately as possible. Terms 2 and 3 will extend the theme of environmental sustainability and students are tasked with researching and extending the college’s responsibility to work towards being carbon zero. Model United Nations students will represent college priorities with Solihull Metropolitan Council in its ‘Tread Lightly’ agenda. This is cutting edge sustainable future research!
