
In the first year, you will study a range of topics including: changes in Spanish society, equality of the sexes, influence of idols, regional identity in Spain and cultural heritage in the Spanish speaking world. You will also gain a deeper understanding of grammar and translation skills. In the second year, you will study a range of topics including: immigration, integration and fascism, young people in society and their attitude towards politics, monarchy, dictatorships and popular movements. To prepare for paper two you will study a novel and a film from the Spanish speaking world. For paper three you will also carry out an individual research project on a cultural theme that you are interested in and conduct your own wider reading and enjoy working both independently and in a group.
