
GCE A Level Chemistry allows students the opportunity to further pursue their interests and develop their ability and understanding in Chemistry further in Years 12 & 13. This course will allow the students the opportunity to move into further education to support any future career pathways including Medicine, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, and most other scientific careers. Lessons involve high level teacher-led discussion and modelling, exam practice and technique, independent research, and practical activities, and are assessed via three linear exams at the end of Year 13.
For all Level 3 courses, students require a total of 5 GCSEs at grades 9-4 or equivalent in vocational subjects. This course has an additional requirement of: Double grade 6 or above in Science and grade 5 or above in Mathematics
