In this course you will explore a range of Art and Design disciplines including drawing and painting, graphics, 3D design, textiles, photography and printmaking. Tutors will encourage you to work imaginatively and creatively, exploring different materials and techniques. Alongside this there are important assignments in contextual and historical studies of Art and Design. The exploration of the work of others will enhance your understanding in this multi-disciplinary course and challenge your own creative ideas. Throughout your studies you will produce an extensive portfolio addressing specific assessment criteria and this exciting body of work will be suitable for university or employment interviews.
College entry to include GCSE Art or Art related subject minimum grade 4, (please refer to the Entry Requirements section for further details).
The UAL Applied General Extended Diploma covers two units, one per year which are both externally assessed and both worth 50% of grade. Year 12 assessment must be a minimum pass to move onto Year 13.
