If you love making videos or podcasts, creating YouTube content or producing TikToks – then this is the pathway for you. During your two years at Global Academy – you could cover the following skills and knowledge: Social Media video and audio production Radio/Podcasting TV/YouTube Short-form content Video and audio editing Social platforms Script/Engaging Audiences Research, planning, production Reflection and evaluation The type of projects which you’ll do during the course could include: Making a podcast or radio show Edit a YouTube show/channel Creating content for our in house production company Making a web documentary Audio imaging and production Branded content for an advertiser Making a showreel or demo What qualification will I get? Students taking this course will receive a UAL Level 3 Diploma and Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production and Technology qualification which is equivalent to 3.5 A Levels. The course offers up to 168 UCAS Points. The UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production and Technology has been designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills and understanding necessary to access and progress to degree-level study and employment in the media production sector. What partners are involved in this course? You will work closely with our media partners such as Global, Sky and TikTok as well as some of London’s best independent production companies as well as the University of Arts: London College of Communication. Where could this course take me? This route is for students looking to pursue a specialist career in the creative industries. The qualification provides students with the necessary industry-relevant skills, knowledge, and understanding to access appropriate entry-level roles, training programmes or apprenticeships in the media production sectors of the media or apply for progression to related higher education courses. Where roles could this course lead to? The type of jobs that this course could lead to include Broadcast Assistants, Producers, Editors, Production Co-Ordinators or Media Production Higher Ed courses such as Media Communications, Content Production, Radio and TV Production, Television and Live Events Production, Sound Arts, Screen Studies, Journalism.
