It combines practical assignments and activities, with controlled assessments and exams, so is a good choice for students who feel they do best with these alternative methods of assessment. It is equivalent to one A Level. Summary of what is studied (specification) You will study the following units: 1. Investigating Business 2. Planning a Marketing Campaign 3. Business Finance 4. Recruitment and Selection Where could this qualification take you? The qualification carries a maximum of 56 UCAS points and is recognised by higher education providers for many different courses. Some students have gone on to take Business and Management, Finance or International Management degrees. Some students go straight into work to undertake apprenticeships, training courses or junior business roles.
Two of the units are assignment based, which means you will complete coursework assignments or practical tasks that will be internally assessed and moderated. One unit is a controlled assessment (Planning a Marketing Campaign) which is a written task completed under exam conditions in a set time in school. One unit is an external examination (Business Finance).
