
If students choose to study Music at Key Stage 5, they work towards completing the GCE A Level qualification in Music. The course is divided into three main sections: Composition, Performance and Listening. Students will complete 60% of their coursework before their written exam at the end of the course. The course is highly practical and encourages students to listen and perform music from 1600, right up to the modern day. Students should be able to comfortably perform at Grade 4 standard on their instrument/voice.
For all Level 3 courses, students require a total of 5 GCSEs at grades 9-4 or equivalent in vocational subjects. This course has an additional requirement of: Grade 4 or above in Music or audition/consultation
