
This is a progression from the Key Stage 4 course. Students work on and develop their creative and intellectual capacity, as well as continue to build transferable skills such as team working, communication and problem solving. The unit covered allows students to reflect on the historical and current dance practices, as well as study a range of dance styles, focus on choreography, performance and critical engagement. The Key Stage 5 course is a mixed Year 12 and 13 student class. Over the 2-year course, all students will cover the following components.
For all Level 3 courses, students require a total of 5 GCSEs at grades 9-4 or equivalent in vocational subjects. This course has an additional requirement of: Grade 4 or above in Dance or Performing Arts or audition/consultation
