This suite of level 3 vocational courses is perfectly designed for students who have a keen interest in sports science, coaching or development and the wider world of sport and physical activity and are committed to hard work. It serves as a great foundation for a career in sport, a sport or fitness related apprenticeship or a university degree in the field of sport or physical education. What will I study? The courses are made up of a range of separate units, each one focusing on a different topic including Anatomy & Physiology, Fitness Training & Programming, Practical Sports Performance, Sports Leadership, Application of Fitness Testing, Investigating Business in Sport, Development & Provision of Sport, Organising Sports Events. We offer the BTEC Level 3 Sport course across three differently sized programmes of study. The Extended Certificate features four units across two years and is the equivalent in size to one A Level - students would typically select two other subjects to study alongside this. The National Diploma is made up of 9 units across two years and is a two A Level equivalent - students may be required to select another subject alongside this. The Extended Diploma is the largest qualification with 14 units across two years - students would study this as a full-time standalone course..

Unit assessment is achieved through a mix of coursework, exams, presentations and practical assessments.
