We are proud of the rapport we establish with the students in A level PE and this has contributed to many of our students going on to complete university degrees within the sports sector. We provide a personalised learning experience that captures the passion that students have for this increasingly diverse and interesting subject at A level. Future Proof The sport and leisure industry has been one of the largest growth industries over the last five years.Physical Education has developed as a subject, and is now regarded as rigorously academic by universities. Recently, students have gone onto study medicine, physiotherapy, sport and exercise science, sports therapy as well as physical education.
Unit 1 Section A: Applied anatomy and physiology Section B: Skill acquisition Section C: Sport and society Written exam: 2 hours - 35% Unit 2 Section A: Exercise physiology and biomechanics Section B: Sport psychology Section C: Sport and society and technology in sport Written exam: 2 hours - 35% Unit 3 Students assessed as a performer or coach in the full sided version of one activity, plus: written/verbal analysis of performance. Internal assessment, external moderation - 30%
