Our Level 1 introduces the learner to carpentry and joinery skills. It allows candidates to learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment and/or career progression in carpentry or joinery. The Level 1 Carpentry and Joinery course covers the following skills: Safely using various hand and power tools Health, safety and welfare in construction Principles of Building Construction, Information & Communication Maintain and use carpentry and joinery hand tools Prepare and use carpentry and joinery portable power tools Produce woodworking joints
This course is one-year. 5 GCSE's grades 2-9 (including English and Maths)
Students on this course will be assessed in both theory-based and practical assessments. Some elements of this course will also require students to complete and pass online examinations as part of the regulations for the qualification.
