This course offers an in-depth look at the world of sport and will equip you with the knowledge and understanding relating to the scientific, sociological, historical and psychological aspects of physical education. Paper 1 – Factors Affecting Participation in Physical Activity and Sport • Section A: Applied anatomy and physiology • Section B: Skill acquisition • Section C: Sport and society Paper 2 – Factors Affecting Participation in Physical Activity and Sport • Section A: Exercise physiology and biomechanics • Section B: Sport psychology • Section C: Sport and society and technology in sport How it is Assessed Awarding Body: AQA Paper 1 is a 2 hour and 30-minute examination and makes up 40% of the qualification. Paper 2 is a 2-hour examination and makes up 30% of the qualification.
