Child care course

Course summary

The course is for those students who are interested in a career working in early years education and care. It enables learners to gain knowledge and experience which will allow them to work with children from birth to five years. Students may obtain employment in nurseries or schools. The diploma gives students the opportunity to progress to higher education or they may enter employment with a ‘licence to practice’ in early years. The course allows students to obtain a lot of practical experience as students spend 3 days at a local placement and 2 days a week gaining knowledge based in school.
