Drama and Theatre

Course summary

This one/two year course is a great progression for students of GCSE Drama and is designed to stretch student’s knowledge and understanding of Drama and Theatre. Students will learn how to practically explore play texts and use their knowledge of practitioners and theories within theatre history to support their own performance work. They will take part in group and solo performances and will have to document their progress through written portfolios. Students must also sit written examinations requiring them to demonstrate their knowledge of directing and understanding of different texts.
