
Media A level gives students the opportunity to develop understanding of the media which affect our every-day lives in contemporary society. It is a very up to date, ‘forward thinking’ course. Students will study the impact of media in the online age alongside more established forms of media such as TV drama, the music industry, the press, and advertising. Students will also develop skills in digital media production.
Minimum of a grade 4 in English, If GCSE Media taken – minimum of a grade 4.
70% exam, 30% coursework. Coursework involves researching, planning, filming and editing a video or print product and evaluating the outcome.
