Students will study a variety of topics throughout the two-year course, including aspects of the German speaking society such as Oktoberfest, Karneval or Weihnachten, the use of technology in modern day Germany, changes to family life and immigration. Students will also be given the opportunity to complete an independent research project on an aspect of German society and will study both German film and literature. Students will take all modules at the end of Year 13. Work on Year 12 topics will be continued to a higher level in Year 13 when additional topics will be introduced.
