
The A Level English Language and Literature course encourages learners to develop their interest and enjoyment of English by engaging creatively and critically with a wide range of texts. You will explore both literary and non-literary works, including literary non-fiction, poetry, prose and drama. You will learn how to study these texts using establish established academic fields of stylistics, linguistics, narratology and creative writing.
Minimum of five 5 to 9 grades at GCSE including at least grade 6 in English Language..
Two terminal examinations worth 80% of the A Level. Non-exam assessment worth 20%.
