This course is equivalent to 1 A Level and is an ideal course for those who wish to pursue a career in the Health Care or Social Care sectors. There are more than 300 distinct career paths in this sector, which is a major employer, employing almost four million people across the UK. There is a high percentage of internally assessed coursework, which may appeal to students who prefer a more continuous approach to assessment. There will be one external exam during both Year 12 and Year 13. They will complete course work units in both Year 12 and Year 13.

Assessments consists of 50% coursework and 50% exam. Resits are permitted.
