This one year Level 2 course is made up of three mandatory units and an optional unit. It covers: Essentials of IT; starting with the different forms of hardware and software components and how up to install and upgrade these Essentials of cyber security; understand the need for cyber security, what the impact is of cyber attack and how businesses and individuals can reduce risk Using data analysis software; understand the data used by businesses, the software used to analyse data and how to report on findings Either emerging technologies or using social media for business. This course would be a good choice to go alongside the Cambridge Technical Business Studies level 2 course as well as Digital Media.
There are no specific requirements for this course, but students should show potential to progress to level 3 at the end of this one year course.
External examination with multiple choice question types including reordering statements, true and false questions, linking boxes and selecting multiple responses. (50%) and coursework (50%)
