Thinking Skills and EPQ

Course summary

Thinking Skills - A school designed course that teaches skills rather than content. It develops the ability to interpret, analyse and evaluate ideas and arguments and can support thinking skills in all subject areas. It is excellent preparation for students wishing to progress onto Higher Education. EPQ - The extended project is a single piece of work focused on an area of academic interest requiring a high degree of planning, preparation, research and autonomous working. It is recognised by Universities as excellent preparation for writing a dissertation and therefore some Universities will reduce the grades required for entry if students have completed this qualification. NB Students must also complete the Advanced Study Skill course if they wish to complete the EPQ.
