During your two years at Global Academy – you could cover the following skills and knowledge: Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/After Effects Creative practice – visual arts illustration Social Media graphics and production Advertising and branding Design – for web/print Photography Research, planning, production Reflection and evaluation The type of projects which you’ll do during the course could include: Adobe Creative Cloud skills build Print-making and fine art practice Social media graphics and campaigns Campaign/advertising production Produce interactive media and online magazines Create branded content with a live industry brief Portfolio preparation What qualification will I get? Students taking this course will receive a UAL Level 3 Diploma and Extended Diploma in Creative Practice: Art, Design, and Communication qualification which is equivalent to 3.5 A Levels. The course offers up to 168 UCAS Points. The UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Practice: Art, Design, and Communication further develops a student’s knowledge of the design sectors of the creative industries, allowing them to explore and select a specialist practice focus, and develop skills and knowledge central to supporting and sustaining an individualised specialist creative career. What partners are involved in this course? You will work closely with our university partners including the University of the Arts: London College of Communication as well as some of London’s best creative and advertising agencies. Where could this course take me? This route is for students looking to pursue a specialist career in the creative industries. The qualification provides students with the necessary industry-relevant skills, knowledge, and understanding to access appropriate entry-level roles, training programmes or apprenticeships in the design, art or advertising sectors of the media or apply for progression to related higher education courses. What roles could this course lead to? The type of jobs that this course could lead to include VFX, Animation, Advertising Execs and Art/Design/Advertising Higher Ed courses such as Advertising, Animation, Fine Art, Graphic and Media Design, Games Design, Illustration, Graphic Branding and Identity.
