Geography A level will allow opportunities for students to advance the skills, knowledge and understanding learnt in geography at KS4. It aims to excite students’ minds, challenge perceptions and stimulate their investigative and analytical skills. This includes developing an: Understanding of geographical concepts and processes to understand and interpret our changing world. Awareness of the interactions between economies, cultures and environments across the world. Critical thinking to make decisions about big issues and fieldwork skills. Geography equips students with knowledge and understanding of ever increasing complex modern world by looking at relevant real world current issues. Students can confidently develop their interpersonal skills as well as allowing them to develop transferable skills which University and places of higher education are seeking.
