Some areas you will have the opportunity to study are finding the gradients of curves and areas under curves- possibly one of the most important discoveries in mathematics of the last millennia; motion and forces- Why do thing move the way they do? How do we know a bridge won't fall down? Probability and statistics- how do we know if two things have a relationship or not? How does Google predict what people want to search for?
B at GCSE Mathematics. 5 passes at grade B GCSEStudents must also pass the GHS AS Mathematics entry test which will be waived for students with A* in GCSE Mathematics or A in Level 2 Further Maths.When selecting options, preference for Statistics will be given to those who have a grade B in GCSE Statistics.
