This unit is assessed by a written examination. In Global Destinations, you will investigate the features and appeal of global destinations. You will prepare travel itineraries and recommend suitable destinations for customers. This unit is assessed under supervised conditions. In Principles of Marketing in Travel and Tourism, you will learn about the importance of meeting customer expectations and communicating with customers effectively, understanding how the changing demands of the customers influence the shape of the industry. This unit is assessed through a series of assignments and will be delivered at the end of the course, so that you can combine your learning from the other units and maximise your final grade. Specialist Unit: Visitor Attractions. You will investigate visitor attractions and the different ways they are funded. You will explore what is meant by the visitor experience and how visitor attractions develop, diversify and use technology in order to meet the needs of different types of visitors. This unit is assessed through internally set assignments.
