You will learn and develop skills for a range of financial processes, including maintaining cost accounting records, advanced bookkeeping, final accounts, VAT issues in business, management accounting costing techniques and ethical practices for accountants. You must successfully achieve the four mandatory unit assessments to achieve this qualification. The proportion of this qualification assessed by externally marked assessment is 100%. All assessments are computer based. On achieving the AAT Level 3, you can gain up to 56 UCAS points which is equivalent to an A at A Level.
Level 2 - You should have a Level 1 qualification or GCSEs at grade 4/C in MATHS and a 3/D in ENGLISH.
Year 12 • There are three external computer-based unit assessments set by the AAT, completed online and marked online immediately, with results accessible through your MyAAT within 24 hours of submitting the assessment. • One external synoptic assessment that covers all aspects of the course, except 'Using Accounting Software'. This is also set by the AAT and marked externally by qualified assessors, with results available after 6 weeks of the last day of the assessment window. Year 13 You must successfully achieve the four mandatory unit assessments to achieve this qualification. The proportion of this qualification assessed by externally marked assessment is 100%. All assessments are computer based.
