Course summary

Why should I study it? This qualification emphasises practical creativity alongside research and theoretical understanding.Students will refine their collaborative skills, their analytical thinking and their approach to research. The course inspires students to become independent theatre makers and is excellent in encouraging independence and building confidence as pupils are given the opportunity to write and direct their own pieces as well as Interpret text for performance. They will have the opportunity to work as individuals and as part of an ensemble. In addition to acting, students can also develop theatre design skills such as costume, sound, lighting and set design. Career possibilities There is a wide range of theatre / TV production / film related careers in addition to other creative industries such as advertising and marketing. Many other industries such as law and politics will value the skills learnt through this course of study.
