During the course you will study the following four units : Changing awareness of crime: Develop an understanding of different crimes and how these are perceived within society. Criminological theories: You will gain an understanding of why people commit crime. From the crime scene to the court room: You will begin to understand the ways verdicts are reached and if these fit the crime. Crime and punishment: Gain an understand of the criminal justice system and analyse its effectiveness in society today.
You will be assessed by completion of assignments and externally assessed exams.
