A Level History QAN code 60146771/4010 A Level History develops skills from GCSE History as well as the opportunity to study fascinating periods of the past in an engaging way. Throughout this two-year course learners develop several transferable written and oral skills. The study of the past helps develop a greater appreciation of the society and world we live in, through the analysis of past eras in Britain and further afield. There are two Year 12 modules: Unit 1: Britain 1625-1701 – Conflict, Revolution and Settlement Unit 2: Russia in Revolution, 1894-1924 There are two Year 13 modules: Unit 3: Civil Rights in America 1860-2009 Unit 4: Coursework Future Opportunities - History remains one of the most popular and most studied subjects at University and College. It is an excellent subject if you wish to pursue a career in law, journalism, recruitment and personnel, local government, the civil service, social services, administration and politics, leisure and heritage management, as well as being vocationally acceptable in the world of business, management and industry.
