Ancient History is the history of the Ancient Greeks and Romans, as well as the peoples they encountered in Europe, north Africa, Egypt, and the Near– and Middle-East. All of these civilisations provide the basis for much of modern life, but can also be startlingly different. You will continue to study in depth real ancient accounts of some of the most dramatic episodes of these times. Ancient History is not only the study of empires and events but of history itself and how it emerged and changed as a discipline—what historical facts can be gleaned from storytelling traditions?
