Students who select and successfully complete AS Further Mathematics will have the opportunity to progress to A Level Further Mathematics. What you’ll learn? Volumes of a Revolutions , Proof By Inductions ,Vectors ,Matrices, Different Coordinate Systems and Complex Numbers. Throughout the course you will be practising solving problems of increasing difficulty, applying the theory you have covered, developing your skills as a confident and independent mathematical thinker. How you’ll learn Classroom based learning What you can do next Some of the most interesting and well-paid careers revolve around Further Maths. Careers in finance, medicine, engineering, and business are all open to people with a background in Mathematics, as are careers in technology — Further Maths being at the very core of all new technological developments. How to prepare for this course AS Further Mathematics is studied in conjunction with A level Mathematics, therefore the focus will be the same.
Minimum GCSE 5 in English Language and 6 in Mathematics plus passing of Mathematics entrance exam 90%+ and an average GCSE grade of 5.75 or higher. AS Further Maths must be studied in conjunction with A level Maths
