Mathematics at A level is both interesting and challenging. The A-level Mathematics qualification builds upon work completed at GCSE as well as introduces new fascinating concepts. A-level Mathematics is a valuable qualification for students wanting to pursue careers in a wide variety of areas and provides support for many courses both at A-level and university. The Programme of Study and Assessment The Pearson Edexcel Level 3 Advanced GCE in Mathematics course consists of three externally examined papers. Students must complete all assessments in May/June of the same exam series. There are two Pure exam papers and one Applied paper split equally into Mechanics and Statistics.
