

Why study this course? Three Dimensional Design is about looking, learning, thinking and communicating ideas. This course is designed to challenge and inspire creative thinkers, problem solvers and people who enjoy making. This course will enable you to explore ideas and develop skills through selecting appropriate materials and investigating how they can be used to create both artistic and functional outcomes. The enquiring nature of this course will give you an appreciation of the balance between practical, academic and analytical skills, which are directly transferable to other A-Levels, design-based university degree courses and jobs within the creative sector. What will you study? You will be required to produce work in at least one of the following areas: ceramics, sculpture, exhibition design, design for television, theatre and film, interior design, product design, environmental and architectural design, jewellery/body ornament and 3D digital design.
