St Gregory’s has held the prestigious Secondary Geography Quality Mark by the Geographical Association since 2014 in recognition of the quality of teaching, learning and exam results. In September 2022 we became a national Geography Centre of Excellence. The two-year AQA Geography A level course will excite minds, challenge perceptions and stimulate investigative and analytical skills. It is a real mix of human, physical and environmental geography. The specification supports and enhances students’ learning from many GCSE courses in Geography. However, the course is also relevant and contemporary and is therefore suitable for students who haven’t previously studied the subject. If you have an interest in people, the natural environment and world cities you will really enjoy this current, contemporary and very relevant course. With a mixture of human, physical and environmental geography, you will explore real issues facing the world such as population growth and the impact of natural hazards on people around the world.
