
Photography is a course in learning how to see. Photographers develop a keen awareness of details, noticing the extraordinary in everyday moments. They use photographic techniques to capture and document the world as it appears through the lens. A-level photography will teach you to see the world with fresh perspective, enriching your overall experience of life. You will learn how to use a camera effectively, skills with Adobe Photoshop and other editing software, professional lighting, traditional photographic methods and web-building to name a few of the practical learning that will take place. Furthermore, you will learn to greater understand the visual world around you; improve your analytical and problem solving abilities; as well as being able to express yourself through your images. The course begins with completing projects on the themes of Landscape, Still Life and Portraiture before starting your own Personal Investigation (Component 1) and, once completed, progress to your exam project (Component 2).
