
Core Mathematics / Mathematical Studies is a Level 3 qualification, accredited by Ofqual, and equivalent but distinct from an AS qualification. It is studied over two years and in addition to the three A level subjects. Core Maths is an extremely exciting new course that will give you an advantage with university applications. It is distinct from other maths courses in that you apply mathematics to real life contexts, using maths to overcome real-life challenges. For example, you will analyse real data and use spreadsheets to help organisations make more informed decisions. The personal finance aspects and critical analysis modules help ensure students are well prepared for life in the 21st Century. At the start of the course every student will be given some free stationary and a free revision guide book to support them through the two years.
