The course includes the study of the principles of Engineering and in-depth Engineering Product Design methods. There will be an emphasis on working safely, whilst gaining knowledge of the tools, equipment, principles and processes that are used within the design engineering industry alongside health and safety in the workshop. You will look at the CAD processes and Engineering Practical's to help support your love of Maths within different scenarios to help solve real life-world problems. If you're interested in a promising and exciting career in the field of Engineering and Design and seeking to learn a wide variety of Design and Engineering principles skills needed to succeed in this area then this is the course for you! WHAT’S COVERED? Your work will be assessed, through the completion of assignments, projects, practical tasks and a written exam. This course will also enable you to participate in a range of enrichment activities, which will be tailored to your interests within the design area. The use of Engineering workshop tools, machinery and key Engineering documents will be studied and explored FUTURE OPPORTUNITIES Providing an educational foundation for a range of creative, technical and management careers in Design and Engineering. Design and Engineering will provide you with specialist studies directly relevant to pathways of design and engineering and a wider knowledge of how the world works. Students will gain a strong Engineering and Design skills-based portfolio ready for interviews for further education. Engineering also teaches you the fundamental practical and theoretical skills needed to unlock your future in the world of Engineering!
