WHY STUDY COPE? Rock School and ABRSM Exams are designed for students with a high level of musical expertise who wish to gain accreditation for their ability. It is an excellent way to showcase your musical ability WHAT’S COVERED? These courses are not timetabled lessons. You will use your own time to prepare 5 musical pieces before performing them to a panel. FUTURE OPPORTUNITIES Rock School and ABRSM Exams should be seen as a highly regarded course for any students looking for a career in musical performance.
Students will be expected to demonstrate considerable musical experience and have previous musical education with suitable results
ASSESSMENT Rock School assessment—You will sing or perform 5 pieces, 2 of which must be from the give list of performance pieces. These are from the Rock or Pop genre. ABRSM Assessment— You will sing or perform 5 pieces, all of which are from the given list of approved repertoire. The music for this exam will be classical. You must also have grade 5 ABRSM music theory before you can be entered into any exam which qualifies for UCAS points. Both assessments take place at an examination centre
