
If you are thinking about a career in the health and social care sector, then this is the course for you! Following the OCR Cambridge Technical Level 3 Extended Certificate in Health and Social Care, students are equipped with the knowledge and skills required for employment and for the community as a whole. As a vocational course, it has been designed with the workplace in mind. It’s also about developing the behaviours and attributes needed to progress and succeed in both education and in work. The course is supported by the experience students gain from the sixth form volunteering scheme, where they have placements in health and social care settings in the local area, such as residential care homes for the elderly and children’s nurseries. The Double-Award expands on the topics covered in Health and Social Care (Single Award), with course content applicable to a wide range of roles in the care sector.
