Religious Studies
Course summary
Also referred to as Religion, Philosophy and Ethics. "Religion can inspire and provoke, unite and polarize. It is the primary expression of humanity’s quest to find meaning and purpose. Understanding this phenomenon helps us explore the most basic questions of our existence. From politics and art, to science and war, the study of religion opens a gateway to understanding the world around us.” Irrespective of which other subjects you study, Religious Studies connects to them. Every science, every art, and every humanity, rests on the thoughts and writings of thousands of others. Without exception, religion has played a part in the development of all of them. In particular, studying History or Politics will show you just how influential religion has been in our progress as a species in the recent past.
