The Level 3 Extended Project gives you the chance to explore something that really interests you. It is all about student choice; you can choose a topic relating to a subject you’re studying, a subject that isn’t available at A-Level, or an area of wider, personal interest, and study it in greater depth. The Project qualification is equivalent to an AS-Level that will earn you extra UCAS points and teach you skills that are valued by employers, apprenticeship providers, and universities. Undertaking an Extended Project Qualification will allow you to develop a broad spectrum of skills, including: planning, managing, completing, and evaluating your Project. You will learn to work independently, use your initiative, project-manage, research, solve problems and present to a group. Through in-depth study, you will develop and apply skills creatively, resulting in one of the four following Project outcomes: a dissertation; an investigation or fieldwork; a performance; or an artefact.
