
In Year 1, students will study how language creates meanings and representations through the concepts of Language and Power; Language and Gender; Dialect and Accent and Language Levels and Frameworks. Students end the year with the Creative Writing NEA. In Year 2, students build on last year’s study and also focus on how children develop their language skills, both speaking and writing, and how English has developed as a World language. Students also complete a personal Language Investigation on a topic of their choosing.
