Course summary

A-Level Geography is a modern, dynamic and engaging subject that addresses the key ideas and issues in our world today. Climate change, globalisation, re-branding and management of the world’s resources are some of the current key issues we explore. Students undertake studies of; Globalisation, Regeneration, the Water Cycle and Coasts. Fieldwork and research are key features of the course, both at AS and A2. We take the opportunity to get out of the classroom wherever possible and have every intention of organising an international trip during Year 12 /13 to the Netherlands. We currently undertake trips which focus on physical and human geography most notably a future residential to Bristol. We also carry out local fieldwork to support water conflict, ‘re-branding’ and the crowded coast models.
