
This course is an A Level Course. In this course you can expect to learn about national and international economies. In year 12 you will be introduced to how markets work and why they fail. You will also consider the role of government and the UK economy. In year 13 you will explore how businesses grow and compete, the labour market and how the government intervenes to make markets work better. You will also explore international trade, inequality within and between countries, emerging and developing economies, and the public finances. MINIMUM SUBJECT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS (in addition to the general 6TH form minimum entry requirements of 5 x grade 4 at GCSE/equivalent or above including maths and English): GCSE Business Studies is an advantage but not essential. Grade 5 in English Language and grade 5 in Maths.
