
This course is an A Level Course This is a 2 year course. In this course you can expect to study topics including the Sociology of Education, Families, Beliefs and Crime and Deviance. In addition, you will study the various philosophical approaches sociologists use to understand the relationship between the individual and society and the methods they use to find evidence for their ideas. Contemporary UK society: The central focus of study in this specification is on UK society today, with consideration given to comparative dimensions where relevant, including the siting of UK society within its globalised context. MINIMUM SUBJECT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS (in addition to the general 6TH form minimum entry requirements of 5 x grade 4 at GCSE/equivalent or above including maths and English): GCSE Grade 5 in English or in another essay-based subject.
